FS1- FS2

Foundation Stage

Children applying to Foundation Stage (FS1 and FS2) will be assessed on English language development, fine and gross motor skills, social skills and behaviour. However, as the year progresses, they will also be assessed on their phonics, ability to read, English vocabulary, early number skills and understanding of the world.

Year 1 and Year 2

Children applying to Year 1 and Year 2 are given assessments in Math and English appropriate to their age. In addition to this, they will also be evaluated on their ability to sustain a conversation, social skills and behaviour.

3 - 6


Year 3 to Year 6

Entry assessments for Year 3 – Year 6 are conducted under exam conditions. We allow students time to complete the assessments. These assessments are designed for the year group for which student is seeking admission. They consist of a Math, English Reading Comprehension and Writing and speaking skills.

Entrance Examination

RISE makes use of international assessments as part of its admissions process. Dates and times for admissions assessments will be provided by Admissions Department to the parents.
